I was just now sitting outside having a smoke and it is 30 below out and freezing cold and I just saw a cute little bunny running down the street. Now my question is, How come they don't freeze to death? I don't think this bunny could have been very old because it was so tiny. Where would momma have given birth to it? There is soo much snow here and with it being so cold, where would she have kept these babies so they don't die? And where do they find food? Do you see rabbits all over where you live, even in the winter?

We have tons of bunny rabbits where we live. Since we live in the woods and we live in Florida, it is hardly ever cold here. It's 72 outside right now! I wake up in the middle of the night all the time and see rabbits in the yard. Last night I saw five.

Wild rabbits burrow in the ground. so it was more than likely made before the snow hit lol an momma just kept the opening clear of snow because of going in and out.

same question I have for kittens I heard them meowing at night but couldn't see them let alone bring them into the house. I am always worried about little animals in the winter if only I had the money I would get them all in the house until winter is over. adults surely know what to do, but the little ones must have hard time.

Hi we have a couple here that come around in our dooryard from the woods. They mostly stay in an old fallen tree trunk, stumps, under old logs or by digging a burrow in under the ground to keep warm by putting alot of hay, grass, leaves and fur from themselves to make it toasty only coming out to chew on some low branches(bark),roots of trees under ground etc.Behind our house in the woods there is a trail and you can see where the rabbits have chewed off the bark of little bushes, stripping it down to the main stem inside, haha! In the summer when the snow melts its funny because all you see is bare bushes and how high up they had chewed it before the snow melted. Its so full of rabbits here and crazy ones, running out in front of a vechicle and then changing its mind and going another way,its almost impossible to avoid hitting, thats why when we go for a drive we go slow on the back roads because we know a couple will be shooting out in front of us.
Peanutjar:)They are so cute all in white! Its hard to see them.:)
