No Friends?

Hi there people. Do you think it's possible to lead a full and happy life with no friends whatsoever, just familly. Or you could just be a farmer on your own island, living off the crops. Would that be heaven or would it be miserable. If you didn't feel you needed other people would you just carry on and enjoy yourself. It's hard to say. I don't imagine there's anyone who's lived quite like that even if they think they are.

I guess you're fairly new to this site as you've started a discussion in the category for the TV show Friends as opposed to the category of Friends. You might not get many responses as people who have listed Friends as their interests might not respond to your discussion as they'll see it as "off topic". Going back to your question itself - we're all different. Some of us need to have friends in their lives to enrich their lives and be happy. Some people manage to get by just with the company of their family. I don't know if I personally could manage without friends in my life - each one of them has a reason for being my friend and I value their friendship but I try not to depend on anyone too much as you never know when someone is going to leave your life - they could get married and move away and completely cut off contact with their past life (it has happened to me before which really hurt) or even die (which hurt even more). I've never actually met anyone who's admitted to not having any friends and actually liking it that way :)

It's not like you can't have a fulfilling life without friends but many joyful moments comes from being with friends. Different feelings you can't get when with family
