DOW JONES down 307.11 lowest in 10 months where from here?

with the dow down again (Goldilocks is over) where are we going from here , my ira down , My 401 down , stocks down , (possible )ressecion, anybody with any hope?

I think until our home mortgage crisis is stopped we're going to keep plunging. My guess is 1 year minimum, then things might start picking up again. Don't cashout/sell your 401k because long term it will be fine but short term its not going to be very pretty. People are saying to buy gold but I think they will saturate that market fast and be overpaying like usual and can lose money there as well.

you are absolutely right, in this election year it will take at least to the 1st quarter of 2009 and Merrill Lynch losing 10 billion dollars, we are not talking small potatoes overhere!
