Who Would You Want To See Perform During Halftime at the Super Bowl?

So this year's halftime performance will be headlined by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. As great as Tom Petty is, and despite on of my all-time favorite songs being "Free Fallin" I think that they could have a larger interest in the halftime show if they headlined it with someone that is more associated with today's culture. So here is the question, Do you think Tom Petty is a good choice for the halftime show? And who would you like to see headline the halftime show?

I also agree that Tom Petty is great, but they should've picked someone more into the scene this year. Ever since Janet Jacksons incident, they have just been going with older acts, such as Tom Petty. I personally would have like to have seen a group play, like Rascal Flatts or such. Something that would be in tune with a majority of Americans. Not just someone who had one great American hit.

I agree. Janet Jackson ruined the fun of the halftime show. Nothing wrong with having Tom Petty but they used to have 4 to 6 different bands or solo artists there performing the show. If they are actually going to play music at halftime I wish they wouldn't just have one band doing it. Last year with Prince was just lame and even though I like Tom Petty I think this year will be lame as well.

I don't think I've ever heard of him. What kind of music does he sing and what is a name of some of his songs so that I can look them up?
