My friend on the net says she has 13 cats. now she always is talking about all the cat litter she has to change and how they are running all over. would not her house stink to high heaven? and the fur , just the thought makes me creep out. what do you think?

One cat is to many cat's I really don't like cats to much not really a pet person to much work to do for them. We do have two dogs here but would rather have nothing

The most I have ever had at the same time was four and that was too many really to feed, vacinate etc, but never used litter tray as they came in and out as they pleased. Have two which is a more reasonable amount as both can get lots of love and affection and again they go in and out as they please. I do not allow them upstairs but they will snuggle on sofa and in kitchen. If your friend uses litter trays and is responsible and cleans them immediately there is no reason why her home should smell, but fur may be a problem if they have run of house. No right number is too many, it is what the individual feels comfortable with

13 cats! That is a lot of cats. Yes unfortunately her house would smell and the fur would be just everywhere! At one point I had 3 cats, a tabby, a black and white cat and a persian. They were lovely but they would think nothing of spraying and making a mess wherever they pleased, even though they had litter boxes, my house was starting to smell no matter how much I changed the litter and scrubbed. It was awful. I had them neutered which helped a bit, but not much. I dont have them now and I dont plan on ever having any more cats, but if I did, I would definately only have one.
