What size ring do you wear on your ring finger?

I remember I was a size 4.5 (or 4 and a half) around 14 years of age. At that time my mom had let me try on one of her rings and it was this size. Years later (18 years to be more precise), I still wear the same size ring on my ring finger. Even when I was pregnant with my kids I could wear both of my rings (engagement and wedding rings) with no problem. I mention this because one of the guys that would clean my rings asked me if I had to stop wearing them during my pregnancy. I told him no, that I was able to wear them throughout both my pregnancies with no problem. He was amazed I was able to do this and he told me some women can't because their fingers get bigger during pregnancy. I don't know if this is true or not, but it wasn't in my case. The reason I bring this question up is because one of the things my husband and I talked about last night was the differences in the size of our hands and fingers. I mentioned that his mom has rather big fingers, but he begged to differ...that is until he remembered that the ring she wears on her ring finger fits his pinky finger when he tried it on (and my husband has big hands and fingers :P). But he still figured this was normal so he tried to put mine on for the hell of it, but it wouldn't even go past the tip of his pinky finger! LOL We laughed and he called me "piano fingers". Which I don't mind as I love my slim fingers. :D So, what about you? What size ring do you wear on your ring finger? Is it the same as when you were younger, or has it changed since then?

Ok, i'll admit, i have bigger fingers than my hubby LOL I actually wear a size 8 1/2 or 9, depending on the ring model. And my wedding rings are too big on hubby's finger!! I'm happy though, being pregnant and all (3 days away from giving birth!!) i bloated on my feet, but nothing on my hands, so i never had to take off my wedding rings.

If my fingers were bigger than my husband's I'd be in trouble as his ring size is 13! LOL My ankles did swell a little when I was pregnant with my boys, but it was never much. :) So, I have to ask...did you have your baby yet?

well...last I checked a 12½ or 13 for my ring finger, but I rarely wear a ring, and when I do it's a pinky ring...well, it is for me...I think it's an 11.

I am not sure what size I wear but have been wearing the same rings for years. I do have kinda small fingers with the exception of the few whose knuckles have grown because of arthritis. But they are basically the same from when I was younger.

I'm not even sure what size of ring I wear. When my husband bought my engagement ring he took one of my rings that he knew fit that finger with him to the jewelry store. I couldn't wear my wedding rings when I was at the end of my pregnancy cause my fingers and hands were swollen. I wore them on a necklace though. I can wear them just fine now but they are a little tighter on my finger so maybe my finger got a little bigger after pregnancy.

I wear a size 5. Even if I had gained weight , from 105 to 138 now (after 2 babies) my ring still fits. Hopefully it will stay that way forever..:)

I have also gained some weight over the years, but even so, my ring size is still the same. :)

my fingers are pretty fat due to arthrits (this has made my knuckles fat or rather 'swollen'...) so my ring finger is a 8 1/2-9!

K. I could have gone a bit smaller I think, but that size seemed to have the best balance between not being likely to fall off, but not being too tight. but that's a size not chosen with any view to getting on and off, as it's my engagement ring. after the wedding it's not coming off again. (will need to come off to get the wedding ring on)

I could have gone for a 1/2 size smaller, but it was recommended by the jeweler for me to get the size I have so that I would have a better chance at not having to resize it in the future. Good thing I listened to him because my rings aren't as loose on my finger as they used to be. :P

I don't know the size of my ring but I know that it has been the same size for the last 40 years so I have probably not put on any weight on my fingers.

I don't know what size I wear and I never have. All I know is I am getting older and heavier than when I got my rings because they don't fit anymore. I have a pinky pearl ring given to me from my son for my birthday one year, and it is now too small. I have a family ring from both my kids and it is now too small. I have a wedding band from my hubby and it's too small. I have several other peices but these are the ones that have meaning to me, and I can't wear them anymore. I have to either lose some weight or I have to get my rings made bigger, if I can. I miss wearing them and I would love nothing more than to be able to wear them again. Thanks for the reminder, I haven't looked at them for several months now, and I am going to take them in and see what can be done.

I have a size seven ring on my ring finger right now. In the morning and evening it's very loose, but during the day, it fits just right. The size of my fingers has changed as I got older, due to weight gain and loss, but in general a ring that I got when I was 13 still fits now.

Ring - Size
I don't know what size I wear...but it's remained pretty much the same. I had the same ring on when my first child was born and didn't take it off at all. With my second pregnancy, th ring did get a little tight but not too tight that it couldn't be taken off (with the help of some soap). My husband's got big hands and mine are really small...and there's no question about it. Mine's like half his size! And I've got slender fingers too...and I like it this way.

It's funny you posted this discussion - just the other day I found a ring that I had worn for years when I was in high school. It's tight but I can get it on so guess my ring size has changed a little - but that's 35 years and 4 children later :) I've always had 'piano finger' as your husband put it - long and slender and am very happy with my hands but honestly don't know what size ring I wear.

Oh you lucky, lucky thing! Even as a teenager my hands used to swell often - and they are big clumpy hands to start with! Even after losing 2 1/2 stone my fingers swell up too much to wear my rings just now but if I got them sized they would fall off when the swelling goes down - guess i can't win! xxx

I wear a 5 and a quarter I believe. I could still wear my wedding rings when I was pregnant with all four of my babies as well. My ring won't go past the tip of my husband's finger either.
