Pink Floyd Lyrics that best describe you...

ANybody? I know there are a buttload of Floyd fans out there, what lyric, line, or song best describes you, the year, month, day,or week you've had...or maybe the mood you're in right now? I'd have to say...after the busy, crazy day I've had "the lunatics are on the grass" and with the struggle to reach my goals "You say the hill's too steep to climb, climbing, you say you'd like to see me try, climbing..." you?

Ususally, life is like "Dogs" off the Animals album. Then again, I have a good day and it's like "Sheep" which, tonight, is all I think we could hope to expect from life in America. Tomorrow I may feel differently. Probably will! Maybe it'll be a Green Day day--or Indigenous or Finger Eleven day! God, I hope so...

my favorite is when it's a "We built this city on rock and roll" day... not really. :)

so you think you can tell heaven from hell? blue skies from pain. i think my life can be either like wish you were here. or even the song echoes. overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air and deep beneath the rolling waves.

I think the line that best describes me at the moment will be from the song "Money" "Money, Get Away, Get a good job with more pay and you're okay."

The entire Dark Side (as a whole) describes the universe as it is, man. Seriously though, that album rocks. "You reached for the secret too soon..."

I can think of a few lyrics that describe me. The one that I think of all the time is from Paranoid Eyes. "Button your lip and don't let the shield slip." Another is from Comfortably Numb. "The child is grown, the dream is gone."

Comfortably Numb a lot of the time. "There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship, smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown, the dream is gone I have become comfortably numb." In my darker moments, it has to be The Final Cut. The whole song. "Through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes, I can barely define the shape of this moment in time And far from flying high in clear blue skies I'm spiraling down to a hole in the ground where I hide."

The whole song "See Emily Play" pretty much sums up my character. There are so many songs it's hard to pick one lyric to sum up my mood at the moment maybe "I have become comfortably numb".

All in all it's just another brick in the wall. All in all you're just another brick in the wall. Sometimes I really just feel like another brick in the wall!

Ooh, Brain Damage is one of my favourite songs. Definately describes me, my friends and this insane little uni town that has been suffering from cabin fever for about 200 years... just, the whole song. Hmmm, I'll have to think more on this... and listen to some albums as the radio is getting in the way of me thiking of lyrics *grin* I'm actually more a Supertramp fan and the lyrics to Asylum are fitting: Please don't arrange to have me sent to no asylum; I'm just as sane as anyone. It's just a game I play for fun. I've been foolin' everyone-everyone. Right, back to Floyd. Time lyrics: Ticking away the moments that make up the dull day. You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way. Mostly wasting them on the internet _
