when a paypal account has been verified it means that the person who owns the paypal account has verified that they own the account they are using to use with paypal.

Hi Luisberty, I wondered the same thing when I joined a while back. After I used it a while, I have seen what it means. Once you are verified, If you do not have enough in your paypal account, yhey can go into either your bank account or your charge card to get the money. They don't even have to ask for your permission. I have had a check bounce because of that, so I am real careful about what and when I buy. Once you are verified, they can take money at will, any time there is not enough in your paypal account. So be careful!

Paypal doesn't take money out of your account at will or without your permission. When you buy something online and use Paypal for payment, you have authorized the merchant to get funds from your Paypal account, which is linked to your bank account. I had an online subscription to something using a credit card I had used for that subscription. The credit card was maxed out and paypal didn't go into my checking account to get the funds. I got an email notice that the transaction had failed and gave me the option of using a different credit card as well as the option of cancelling the transaction (subscription) which is what I chose. Your job is to keep good records of money spent. Always remember to deduct the amount you spent from your bank account. Hopefully, you will avoid bounced checks that way cuz the fees alone for bounced checks is a big ouch!

your paypal account becomes verified once you add a credit card or a debit card(visa or mastercard)to it this indicates that you are the owner and that the account is not a ficticious account,it also help to prevent people from using paypal to perpetrate fraud.it thus means that keeping your account information now becomes your responsibility

I have never had paypal take money out of my bank account without me authorizing it. Even when my balance online is zero. I'd like to know why they did that to you? I could see it coming out of a credit card though. And yes being verified on paypal is just they're way of saying that they've proven you are who you say you are. It always happens when you deposit funds from any source that are real accounts and not just other paypal accounts.
