Everyone of has our names given by our parents. But behind this very name, a lot of history or some interesting story might be there. Its really interesting to know this story behind our names. It may be a plain meaning or may be some divine attachment and the like. My name is Madhavi and the meaning of the same is - 1. One name of Goddess Laxmi (Goddess of Prosperity as per Hindu Mythology) 2. The literal meaning of Madhavi can be read as Sweet Honey. My parents name me Madhavi becoz of the first reason. I have two first names, the first one came from the name of the month I was born and the other was from my father's first name. March was the month I was born, so they named me Mark. While my father's first name, was Edmund. I guess there's nothing special in it, but I do feel I have a very huge responsibility in keeping my father's name..
