I got so used to using short hands from chatting on the internet and also because of messaging through the cell phones. This has also led me to have slowed down in writing my exams because i tend to be careful not to use those short hands. Also in mylot.I started using too many of those that in the real world it is tough to manage.like AT(@) message(msg) Because(coz),and(n) too many other(adaz) likewise.Do u use short hands or did it change after using mylot? or something similar.

nope, I tend to never use any shorthands. I honestly takes me more time to think of what the short hand is than it takes for me to just type out the full word. I feel like that makes what I write easier to read, and addition, I don't have problems like you mentioned.

It's really bad when people start using short hand in their conversation! Like saying 'Lol' English grammer is going down the drain these days. I think it's quite atrocious. Although I do use msn, sms and do become a user of this shorthand stuff myself, I'm embarrassed to admit! It's just shocking when, like you said, you have to re-remember how to write normally again!!! But I've been much better more recently, and write full words in my text messages and so on....

I try not to use shorthand much. It can get to be a very hard habit to break. When I respond to a discussion, I try to write out my answers as much as possible. Also my cell phone has an actual keyboard so text messaging is much simpler than using the number pads.
