Britney Spears' family abandoned her a long time ago, otherwise she wouldn't have turned out the way she did. But now that her sister is pregnant and Britney is, like, totally whacko, I think her mother is realizing something must be done and she called in the best expert - Dr. Phil. He was called by the family, he talked to Britney alone and he would not speak about their discussion. The man cares about people and hates to see these things happen to people. I hate to see it happen to people too. I have an 11 year old and a 14 year old and they don't have to be in show business to end out down the wrong path so I worry. I think very highly of Dr. Phil and I don't think he did was he did for a publicity stunt. Puleeeze! Why would Dr. Phil need any publicity? I just don't understand why people are picking on him. Oprah called him to help when she had to go to court about her comment about beef. From there he became famous. Why is it so hard to believe that someone called Dr. Phil asking him to help Britney? He has spoken of her before and expressed his concerns. Perhaps now someone will actually listen to him.

I to believe that someone did call him into this mess with Britney, but what I am afraid of is his show will be effected by all the bad publicity, because it is all going to turn into a he said/ she said circumstance, hopefully he will bounce back from all this.

I don't think it has affected his show's ratings, and don't think it will. Dr. Phil fans are pretty die hard. Thank you for the best response mark. :)

To my knowledge it was Brittany's parents who asked Dr. Phil to try and help. However it has now created a big mess with Dr. Phil's credentials. It kinda just sounds like easy publicity to me. I think that maybe Dr. Phil is burning out and needs something to jump start his ratings. How much of the same thing over and over can Americans take.

From what I am hearing on the Tv, it does sound alot like a publicity stunt, but who knows, could be the end of another Doctors Tv career.
