Hosting is a service of a website for being online 7/24. This is the most important thing for a website. If you want to have a good website, you should have a strong hosting service. There are many hosting resellers but not all of them are trustable. I needed hosting and I looked for it on the forums of Digitalpoint. I saw that someone sells a lifetime reseller package only for 15 dollars. I thought some and I saw that he had many good feedback and comments. So I decided to have a little package. I chatted to him on MSN first. He answered me very well. He was very kind, and patient even for my stupid questions. So I want a litle package, and he sold it for 8 dollars. He gave me a garranty for at least 2 years up time. So I bought it. Everything was good at first. Some time later, down-times increased, and server became slower than ever. But it was still working. After a few months, I saw that my sites are down. And it last for a long time. I tried to reach him y email, msn and on the forum. I saw that all customers were very unpleased about this service. At last I caught him on MSN, and I asked only for my database. I said I don't want my money back. I only wanted my database, so I can move my site to another hosting. Do you know what he answered? He asked for 7 dollars more! I said, "your service is down, what money do you want?" but he insisted for 7 dllars more. I could not give it because I was unpleased too and I didn't trust him. So he didn't gave my database back. I am also suspicious if he would give my database back after I send him 7 dollars. Now I am telling his website: "nuxsoft.com" If you need hosting, be sure that he is not reliable! He is a big and organized scam!

He's not necessarily a scam. Scam is a huge word, and you don't know when to use it. It may be down, but anywhere, did he say he'd guarantee efficient speeds and uptime? I know, it sucks, but that's what you get when you go for the one-time hosting. Same goes for cheap hosting, especially one-dollar hosting. Sorry for this though, it's a shame when stuff like this happens. Keep checking back, and as soon as your host gets back online (if it does), immediately make a full backup so you can give it to your new host. Good luck with your websites though. My current host costs me $10 one time, but it's because he needed money at that time. It usually costs about $3/mo. Even though he charges monthly, hist hosting is so slow. He packs the servers and my sites don't work sometimes, for as long as a few hours (even at night). I told him this and he blamed it on his main host, saying they wouldn't fix it, even though I know it was because he was too lazy/cheap to get a new server and distribute like he should have (the server load was RED, and he wouldn't even see if someone was hogging the memory, even though he got mad at me when I did the first time). All I can say for you, is make backups daily/weekly, depending on how important it is. I myself make backups when i change SQL, but other than that, since all my files are always backed up, I don't need to do it any other times. Again, good luck with whatever you choose to do :) -Chris
