Ok i didnt know what i should put for the subject on this but i was just browsing through houses for sale and I was looking for a 4 bedroom or more house and I came across this 8 bedroom for under 150k because its located in a bad part of our city. I know everything is alot cheaper in that area of town but its like OMG!! Does anyone else have a bad neighborhood in thier city where housing is really really cheap like this? I just cant get over how cheap everything is over thier cuz of nobody wanting to live in that part of town. You can get a 4 bedroom apt for like 200 a month. Its crazy. here is a link to where i seen this ad at: www.century21.com/buy/property_detail.aspx?tr_key=34108814

ive been looking for a house also and i have found some deals also. they are in bad neighborhoods also. it sucks that bad neighborhoods exist.prices of housing should be more leveled out throught any area.

I saw the details for it and think it is a bargain. The people buying it could be couple with a large number of children. But if it is in a bad area would there be good schools for their children to go to? Alternatively a couple or single person could buy it and live in one part of it. Then they could rent the other three parts of it. My cousin moved to Australia and her husband had an idea of which areas were nice to live in. But a migrant can see cheap houses for sale on the Internet and might get a shock if they move there. In the UK there are some bad areas in the big cities like London, Nottingham and Liverpool. In my neighborhood there are a few areas that I would not like to live in but housing is slightly cheaper in these places.

no thier is not any good school down there. Their is a school called headstart for low income families but i would never recommend anyone putting thier child in that school. There are other low income schools in better neighborhoods. I just wouldnt recomment moving in that neighborhood

Our town isn't big enough to have a bad and a good part of town! lol. Every house here is pretty expensive, at least in comparison to where i come from in NS, but there are less jobs there, and the cost of living is less as well.. So i guess it all is relevent to eachother.

We, since it is an apartment building, it is harder to sell than a regular single-family house. Probably no-one wants to deal with finding rentors to live in a bad area (or the ones they find are likely to be bad tenants, who can't qualify for a better apartment).
We have a few neighborhoods like that in our area; awsome houses that have fallen into disrepair because the people who live there can't afford to keep them up (or just don't care), and crime keeps them from being able to sell the house to someone who could afford to take better care of it.
