Is Pirates a religion?

Ok i know im going to get some scepticism or however u spell but alot of people are taking pirates just a little bit to far, dont you think? or are you one of the religious pirates foke? me? idk i love pirates but nothing to put it into a religion.

It initially started as a parody, but it turned into this huge thing. I'd post a link, but I am unable to be trusted with links until I've hit 500 posts ;-)

haha yeah i sort of broke that rule then oops, well i guess im screwed on that post, but yeah i think it would be an awesome religion to research and study up on. but then again idk maybe some pirates will come back to this age and have some more fight in em. haha

Well I wouldn't call it a religion, but there are true piratey folk out there who practice pirate speak, fashion and the like. I would call it a Lifestyle. They get their kids into it and everything. As long as it's done all in good fun I think it's just fine if they want to act like pirates.

Haha true like some people actually have talk like a pirate day (September 19th) it was made up by some radio guys and ever since then everyones been celebrating that day, i love talking like a pirate.

I work in a call center, and a friend of mine got to answer the phones starting of with YARRRRRR! on talk like a pirate day, it was pretty fantastic. She was surprised by just how many people knew what was going on.

not really religious with it although i love the movies, although if it would get me closer to johnny depp then id definatly think about makin it a religion...
