carrie underwood is the best american idol winner

I have to agree, Carrie Underwood is the most successful American Idol winner. In a lot of cases other contestants in the top 10 have been more successful than the actual winner. Chris Daughtry and Clay Aiken are the first that come to mind. And Jennifer Hudson! Well, look at her! And if you are in Canada you will know that the very first winner of the first Canadian Idol seems to have fallen off the planet. Ryan Malcolm is very much forgotten... as are many of the other Canadian Idol contestants. Kalen Porter seems to have made the biggest mark and this past year's winner is promising but we'll have to wait and see. Obviously the company that give these winners their record contract are either lousy marketers, or the viewing audience just keeps playing favourites instead of voting in those who are more worthy of the win. I would think it is the latter seeing as runners up have done better.

I totally agree. I like Carrie Underwood the best out of all of the American Idol winners. I don't here to much about any of the other winners. I have seen and heard some of the contests that didn't win. Well beside the first American Idol winner. I have heard her sing. To me though Carrie is still the best.

Well, when it comes to Winners, Yes, Carrie has been the best one, and I am so proud of her, and all that she has accomplished. Her voice is truly amazing. We do have some Great talent in Season 7 it looks like. Whether the one to be the next American Idol will be HOT like Carrie, is yet to be seen. Only time can tell, but overall, it will be almost impossible for any New artist to be as big a hit as Carrie is.

No way, its Kelly Clarkson. She is rocking all over the USA and there is something that goes a long way about being the very first idol. I love her songs but Carrie sounds good too.
