how accurate is astrology??

i was just curious to see how many people take astrology seriously. i dont live my life by it, but i tend to think that the descriptions given for each zodiac sign is pretty accurate. i am a scorpio and most seem to fit me well. my last 2 serious relationships were bound for disaster according to the compatibility of the signs. both have now proven true. the issues that we'd have were described when i did the compatibility, they were right on. is this coincidence?? what do you think about astrology?

i've been a fan of astrology for going on 15 yrs now and I've found that when done properly its VERY accurate AND when done in combination with numerology its even MORE accurate...Keep in mind too that I dont do natal charts either, I never learned how to because not beign able to find out my time of birth there was just no point in learning it....
I think that some ppl who have doubts about it are the ppl who CAN'T see themselves fully...Let's face it, nobody really wants to see the negative or less than pleasant side of themselves ya know...As far as I'm concerned you REALLY need to be able to see yourself WITHOUT rose coloured glasses in order for any personality profile type thing is going to work for you ya know...

Numerology is as much fun and just as accurate as astrology is! I love both actually...and like I said when you put the two together the personality profile you get is just wild!
LOL I was like you when I first got into it yrs ago..I did my own profile first and was just FLOORED at what I was reading but I have to say that KNOWING and LEARNING about myself has been a HUGE help and factor in becoming who I am today ya know...
If you are interested in getting a book on astrology I HIGHLY recommend a book called
The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need
That was the first book I bought several yrs ago and its STILL the one I go to even though I've owned many over the yrs..that is THE book as far as I'm concerned....

thats soo neat! i'd love to pick your brain! i just learned a little about numerology, i had no clue it existed. i saw an intro and small description on the special features of the movie 23 with jim carrey! i'd love to learn more, because it struck an interest, and especially since im fond of astrology. i agree about the truth of yourself. i have sat alone reading mine, going man that is me, as bad as i hate to admit it lol! thanks for your input!

Astrology is mere prediction of future.It is not that can be said is 100% truth.It only gives us an idea of what is going to happen and what steps should be taken to have a better future.It is trusted by some people,while others call it fake.So it is totally upon an individual how to accept astrology as.

I think you are thinking Horoscopes which DOES USE astrology but its NOT astrology...Astrology gives a tremendous amount of insight to ones character, their personality, their strengths and weaknesses and so on..

well right, but i'm talking about the signs, and descriptions of each according to birthdays. they tell about each one's personality. they dont tell the future. some peolpe/places do horoscopes that do supposedly and i dont buy into that, they just say whatever like in the newspapers and stuff. i mean the zodiac signs.

I don't know how seriously I take it but I'm a Cancer and I'm a very true Cancer. When I read my hororscope it's usually very accurate. My daughter had her whole hororscope done and she got pages and pages of information all which was so on the nose that it was scary. I don't think it's a coincidence. I believe we do have some relationship to the earth, stars, moon and all that.

It's not very accurate however, I believe there's some truth to it. There are other factors like environment and genetics that determine our personality. However, the descriptions by astrology of our respective sign can also be true. I am a Taurus and we are often described as practical, down-to-earth and stubborn. That's so me. :)

well of course other factors are involved, but as a whole astrology seems to be pretty real to me. thanks!

I think that the accurate descriptions given for each zodiac sign are pretty much linked to the so-called 'Forer effect'. :P
