A Miracle has Happened (do you sense my sarcasm?)

Does anyone remember the ice storm a while back? Well today, finally, the city has come by a few places to pick up the branches and other nature remnants of the storm. They had promised to be out long ago. All over this city there are piles of huge branches waiting to be picked up. A lot of people couldn't use sidewalks, and it was a hazard to walk in a yard. So finally today they have started working on it. So any projects around your city that were supposed to have been finished, but aren't? Or has a road finally been completed, and you no longer have piles of dirt on your lawn? Did your husband finally fix the leaky sink and you almost fainted from shock? Or, (gasp), did your kids do their homework without you making them?

This reminds me of a news story I heard recently where trash was building up along sidewalks. I want to say in Britan, but I could be wrong. At any rate, the trash pick up people are refusing to pick up the trash and it is just accumalating at a very rapid speed.

Since that is bad for the environment, I'm surprised people aren't up in arms about it. Environmentalists can raise a fuss, but they usually get things done that they want.

Im glad to hear they are finally working on it. The street in front of my house is terrible. They need to repave it or do something with it. I know they wont do it in the winter time thou. Hey maybe this spring!LOL

Hopefully! And maybe it won't take a long time. My grandparent's front lawn is all torn up because the city is widening their street, and they had to dig up lines and such. It is going to take two years, and all along that area it looks just awful.

I am afraid that I am the villan this time. I was suppose to clean my bedroom a long time ago and I keep putting it off. Now, my back is giving me problems. So once I get relief from it with a pain pill, I should be cleaning, instead I keep finding other things to do. I will have to get to it today.

The city is finally taking down the Christmas decorations. I think they should have been taken down before all this really cold weather hit! Today I am going to finally get to some things I need to do and have been putting off like paying my state sales tax etc. And doing my income taxes! It will feel really good once I am done doing it!

Our city still has those wreaths up on the lighting poles. I wonder if they ever will get those down. : )

We actually still have large branches from the ice storm in our back yard that my husband has not cut up yet. One particular branch is partially in our neighbor's back yard, so I'm sure they would like him to do something soon!

Hey, it is good to see you! My parents had a branch go in their neighbor's yard, but it bothered my dad so much he hired someone to get it down within two days (he couldn't physically do the work himself). The strangest thing is that he later found out if a branch from your tree lands in the neighbor's yard, legally (here) it is the neighbor's responsibility to deal with it. That stunned my dad, but I don't think he would have let them take it out themselves anyway. lol
