Hi and welcome to mylot. I am a Miami Indian from the Great Miami Tribe in Indiana. I live in Ohio, But I belong to a tribe in Indiana. I am not sure how to go about finding out about your heritage. I do know that there is Cherokee reservation land in the Smokey Mountains. What part of the country do you live in? Good luck. I will put you down for a friend. You will have to approve or deny. We are all learning, a few days ago they changed the site around.

Where are you from? And what do you know of your family history? I don't know what to suggest to you or where to begin, I am Metis and I might be able to find resources (here in Canada) that might aid you is some way. (By the way, my grandfather was Cree.)
