Studies have shown that listening to music during exercise can improve results, both in terms of being a motivator (people exercise longer and more vigorously to music) and as a distraction from negatives like fatigue. But are certain songs more effective than others. What do you listen to?

I believe playing music while working out is a must to not only get me going, but to keep me going for a while..lol! I actually made myself a couple of cd's, on which I put slower songs at the beginning and end for the warmup and cooldown, and faster songs in the middle for the actual workout. Some of the songs I use are "Gonna Make You Sweat-C&C Music Factory, Control-Janet Jackson, This Is How We Do It-Montell Jordan, etc. (I also use these same cd's for housecleaning, which I consider exercise as well..lol!)

I don't think I could do indoors workout without music, and even when I am running outdoors a little music helps too. I don't make a selection, the rock channels of the AOL radio are good enough for me, eventually a CD or something from my iTunes library.
