The best weight program is "DISCIPLINE". Like you, I was once very fat. My officemates often tease me as pregnant. Then I told myself I have to do something. I decided to do the following just to loose weight. Every morning, I woke up at 5AM for jogging and exercise. I limit the amount of food I eat. At night, before I go to sleep, I again do some exercise such as push ups. Now, I am very happy. My weight is exactly the way I want it to be. Hope this helps.

I think you will need much more training then just trying to lose weight if u are really serious about beating him. Anyway Thanks for contributing

Although I do not know which program has the effect of lossing weight,I think controlling the food and drink less is the good way for it. But we could not loss our weight based on the destroying of our health such as not eat food and do excise which is out of the acceptence of our body.

Counting calories is working for me. I have lost 5 pounds this week. I eat between 1200 and 1500 a day usually. I am blogging about it too. I post how much I weigh and what I ate on my blog everyday. Well, most days.

I saw a guy on the Today show yesterday. He lost 400 pounds.............YES, you read right, 400 pounds, just by getting out and moving, excersing and watching the portions when eating. I was truly impressed and inspired by this guy! Last night for dinner I made a salad with romaine, grilled chicken, radish, 3 color bell peppers, carrots and purple cabbage. It was filling and satisfying. Every food group but the bread in the bowl. I made grilled garlic bread to go with. I think if you eat right and exercise, you can't help but keep your weight at a reasonable number.

I forgot that I added tomato and cucumber as well to that salad. :) I seem to graze at the 6 smaller meals through out the day as well. I have heard that is a good thing to do if you can. Some days it is hard to stick to any one thing. My mother is on this cabbage soup diet that one day is only fruit, the next day is only vegetables, one day is chicken and/or beef.............anyway, she has lost 9 pounds so far and is real happy with it. I told the receptionist at my office about it and she lost several pounds the first week as well. Good luck to you. Have a good day!

Thanks Janis, From what I have learned so far and now Iam doing is eating six small meals a day instead of the 3 good meals I use to have!! Its not much but its start,I have learnt that this way calories burn faster. Iam taking your advise in my stride and hoping that it works. Thank You So Much for your thoughtful input.

In my opinion, all diets and weight loss programs ae a complete waste of time, as all they offer, if they work, is just a short term fix. When you go off the program, at your desired weight, you just return to your old eating habits and put it back on. The best way, is to make sure you eat healthy food, in the correct portion sizes, and do more exercise. All you have o do is make sure you eat just enough for you body to survive, and away you go. Remember we weren't born fat, its just a habit that we have developed as we grow up, and then we make ourselves feel comfortable to justify doing nothing about it.

My mom lost over 65lbs on weight watchers, I think WW is the way to go, its easy and everyone can do it. And you don't have to cut out the foods you love or kill yourself running. She eats breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and a snack. And she eats the same foods as she did before. Like tonight we all ate tacos, home made the healthier way but they where still tacos!

OK - so eat less/exercise more is the 'right' answer...but is it the right answer for you? I've tried them all Weight Watcher, Nutrisystem, Atkins, Metabolife etc. The one thing wrong with all of them is that I was on them until I lost weight and then I was 'back in the real world'. I also am NO GOOD with counting calories. Just makes me think about food all the time! I have now found something that I know is not just a short-term fix for me. Isagenix - a nutritional cleansing program that is not JUST for weight loss but for overall health. When I have lost the weight I need to lose I will continue to use their supplements because they make me feel so good. I have gone from a size 26 to and 18 since June and am still losing weight slowly. I don't have to prepare 'special meals' just for me. I eat whatever I am serving my family for dinner in the evening. I even have pizza on Friday nights! I am an Isagenix consultant now - I really believe in the product and regularly thank my friend who introduced me to it. It has really turned my health and my life around. Check out my website at lautz_tm.isagenix.com or contact me directly for more information. I am an Isa Believer!
