Why this over population becomes headache to less developed countries. The countries belong to Asia, Africa and Latin America are classified as poor nations.80% of population live in this countries. World leaders say that this countries come underdeveloped countries as because of their over population. It is true that over population of a country cause lot of problem to that country.
For instance, father , mother and 2 children can lead a happy life when we compare to a family consist of seven or eight members find it difficult to get provided with nourished food and safe drinking water, better space to sleep, lack of funds to provide good education, decent clothes to wear.
Had Indian government brought proper awareness to its people if family planning properly maintained they wouldn’t have faced severe problems. Although it is in rich in all resources it is not properly distributed among the people. Take rivers, as central government haven’t taken control of rivers they are unable to instruct state government to share the water among states in a proper manner so that all the connected states can enjoy their shares of water.
State government must take initiative rich people to start factories in rural areas so that people will not migrate to cities to find jobs and spend half of their income for rents. There is a bad line – “BELOW POVERTY LINE”. Who are this people come under this category in India? People good and innocent who ask for jobs from governments. These are the people cause over population as their illiterate and less aware of birth control. It is government’s duty to make this people to understand what is life and how to lead a life with success.

Overpopulation affects the nation in hundred different ways. Firstly, the planning goes hayware. What is planned in terms of infrastructure, social security or social welfare, all turns out to be topsy-turvy due to huge increase in population. Secondly in developing countries, due to corruption and the government cannot spend much money on infrastructure development which is always lacking. What little is spent on infrastructure will be a drop in the ocean due to excess population.
Poverty keeps increasing, because of lack of infrastructure, industries do not come up, investors will be shy. When there is no productive activity, per capita income falls, since people do not get purchasing power. Even if the country has good natural resources, it needs money to develop/export/exploit those resources. Developing countries governments are like fish out of water, or breathing under water.
It is charity, if the advanced countries dole out the money to such poor countries and what UN agencies are doing is only a micro service.
Even to provide education to poor people, the developing or underdeveloped countries do not have required funds.
As the saying goes well, the richer the family becomes, less they eat and less number of children they prefer. It is reverse, poor who cannot maintain 1 or 2 children have dozens.

Hello dear ssh. Nice to see you here above me. I think that you have well analysed this case of having over-population. It is ture indeed that corruption and lack of enough infrastructure development. It will take the government a very long time to have this modified. Thanks.

China is strictly implementing the policy of one child, whereas in India, the policy is only for government officials. There are millions in the slums they breed another million. There is no accountability. the politicians want such breeds because it is their vote bank. Make hay while sun shines.

More people being born leads to more demand for housing and the number of homes being built goes up and up. Sometimes the very intelligent people have a superb career and choose not to have children. But the less educated people often have a large number of children. The government has a duty to educate people in order to make them literate and numerate, understand birth control and participate in healthy eating.
The population of New Zealand is less than 4 million and the population of the UK is less than 6o million. New Zealand has plenty of open space but the UK is getting more and more building work going on. In the UK there is a social security system that can pay job seekers allowance and incapacity allowance. There is a national health scheme too. But in poorer countries there is less help available meaning many people live below the poverty line. Medical costs in the USA sound incredibly expensive. China has a huge population and has the one child policy in place. Yes, this is an interesting topic.

This is the opinion of your (mine too)favorite Dr.Abdul Kalam over this subsect.
THE President, Mr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, has repeatedly stressed the importance of population control for India to become a `developed' nation. While interacting with students in Shimla last December, he said that it is necessary to control the population as strides made in different fields are negated by the ever-increasing numbers.
But this is one side of the story. Mr Kalam also sees India's population as an asset. Its large population creates demand for goods and is the basis of economic growth.
Speaking at a seminar organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in 1998, he said: "Of the billion people, 20 million can buy anything; they are rich fellows, like anybody in an advanced country.
Then some of us belong to the 250 million so-called middle-class. They also have buying power. What it means is that (these) people need something. They can buy from you. You concentrate on the local market. That is the message I would want to convey."
In an article, One billion dreams guide me, available on sify.news, Mr Kalam asks: "Can we call our growing population our strength?" He replies: "Certainly yes, provided we give dignity to everyone down the strata, with good education."
There are two sides to the issue of population, according to Mr Kalam. On the one hand, higher population negates the "strides made in different fields''.
On the other, higher population creates a large market, which is an asset if people are educated.

Hello dear subathra. I agree with your viewpoint that it is the government'd duty to educate people to understand what life is like and how to lead a life with success. It is the same here in the countryside in China. The farmers, especially those in the remote country, have more kids than they can pay for their good education to live a good life. What the Chinese farmers mainly think is that it could help them with their farm work if they have more children. In fact, their life quality is not able to be improved if they have more than two...Thanks very much for your practical discussion.

Honestly I think they should cut all the medical crap out.if you are ment to die then so be it. that is why the world has WAY TO MANY people in it and why it is going to kill us all one day. I think you should not be able to get pregnant more then 2 times to help save space. I think having 20 kids is freaking nuts. ANd it hurts the world more then help it
