President's Choice that is in the Superstores. I like regular and online banks, but I do not like store banks because they are saying that you do not intend to leave the country even for a visit. In Canada, we have President's Choice which is in our Superstore, that is a Canadian food chain. Now our Bank of Montreal also has branches in our Safeway, but Safeway also is both American and Canadian. It is just like credit cards, we have bank credit cards, and now Mastercard has a Canadian Tire credit card, plus others. It is alright if the store is North American, Staples for example, but when the store is Canadian Tire, it is assumed that the person only intends to travel in Canada. Also some of the banks here deal with American banks, but not to sure of the store banks. What is your opinion on this matter?

I agree, I like both online and face to face banking. I like online banking because I also have a savings and it's entirely online. I like checking my checking account line to see what checks have cleared. However I like face to face banking when I need to cash a check or for whatever reason Pablo

I have always stuck to using regular established banks. I do most of my banking and bill payments via the internet, but I use the traditional banking fraternaties. I do have a Paypal account, which is very useful when shopping via international websites, but this is really my only deviation fron the standard system.

I do my local banking with my local banks, but if I want to save long term I use the online high interest bank. And I never keep money in my Paypal I put it in my bank as soon as I can download it.

I find with online Banks it is easier for me to save my money, I use my regular bank to save for Christmas and Presents, but if I want to save for something big, like a new Macbook lapbook (goal), a new printer, or something that will cost more or less $1000, I will use the online bank and I can easily transfer the money to my checking account when I have enough to pay for the item.

I prefer regular banks as they have more options of accounts and are easier to open than others. I wouldn't use a online bank, because no matter how good a firewall and antivirus i still don't think they are completely safe. I don't intend on going abroad, so i'm not bothered about if my bank account is accessable in another country. I don't have a credit card, because i refuse to pay the bank interest for spending my own money. ~Joeys wife

We plan to go to Europe in a few years, and also to the States, and I do have both a regular bank and an online bank since they have the largest interest. I do have a credit card because I like to keep records, and I pay it off before there is any interest charges.

I actually do all of my 'banking' at a credit union. I've been with them for years and years and have never had any problems - they offer pretty much any kind of banking service you could want so I'm happy with them. I don't like to deal with a lot of different places.

My husband deals with the credit union, but I notice that when we leave the city, not just the province, he had to pay more ATM fees because the credit union in the other city was not the same as the one in his city. Whereas I have an account with the Bank of Commerce, (mainly checking) and saving account at Bank of Montreal, but no matter where I went I did not get charged fees because these two banks were in every province. Now we are both over 55, and we do not get charged ATM fees, but unless the credit union in the next province or city is affiliated with the one my husband belongs to, he will be charged ATM fees.

I prefer a regular bank in my locale - that has online access for the customers to make transactions and inquiries from home. a totally online bank, to me is too far removed - and perhaps not as reliable

I use a regular bank as well as an online bank, the latter because it is easier to save for large items quicker.

I prefer to do my banking at a regular bank. I won't do online banking as I don't feel that it is safe and I don't do any banking at stores. I guess I am a little old fashioned when it comes to that.

I do my banking also at a regular bank, but I also have an ING online account for high end savings so that I will not be tempted to spend any money.
