cooking for special occassions

For birthdays and other parties i just cook food like simple snacks and set it out as a buffet and then everyone can choose what they want to eat. I haven't ever cooked for a special friend, but if i did i'd probably try and find out what they like alot and make a unique meal that includes some food they really like. ~Joeys wife

I make all my dinners for special occasions from scratch. Like on cold days when the kids are out playing in the snow I make a big pot of chicken and dumpling soup or for their birthdays I make them their favorite food. It really depends on what kind of food everyone in your family likes. There are plenty of easy recipes on the internet that give step by step instructions on how to make them.
