who do you think you are?

I am an independent person. I love to do things on my own. I love to be on my own. I practically long for the time when I go home from work for the day and I can be on my own and be with my own thoughts away from the useless and unimportant constant chatter of friends. Sometimes I feel that my friends do not like this attitude of mine. But all the time I do not care what they think of me. I know what makes me happy so I dont care. Is it wrong to be so independent? Does one have to put up with what others think and instead dispense with what you want for yourself just to please others?
