The Moment of Truth

The new show comes on tonight and its supposed to be pretty controversial because the participants are strapped to a lie detector and are asked questions about thier life, marriage, beliefs, etc. My wife said we can watch it together on one condition........we cant ask each other the questions that are being asked on the show. This struck me as odd, as I would have no problem answering the questions at all. Any thoughts on my situation and/or the premise of the show?

That's kind of funny ken, because I mentioned to my hubby that I couldn't wait to see this show. He asked if I'd ever go on it and I said "in a heart beat, wouldn't you?" and his response was "If I knew you wouldn't be watching it." Hhmmmm, makes you wonder what the deal is with our spouses doesn't it? My hubby says it's just because everyone would hate me (or him, depending on which was the contestant) afterwards. My whole opinion is my ideas are my ideas and if you hate me for them that's your loss not mine. It'll be interesting to watch it tonite!

I can't believe those contestants agreed to go on. They'll quite possibly lose spouses, friends, jobs...is it really worth it?

To win that much money, you have to be willing to take the risk. That risk includes losing spouses, family, friends and/or jobs. I can only imagine how much worse the questions could possibly get once they get closer to the big money. The only way to truly win at a game like that would be to always be honest with everyone and don't keep any secrets. Then you don't have to lie and you aren't surprising anyone. Of course, it's easier said than done.
