mylot spammers

They always seem to be around, merciless spammers that flood mylot with random quotes, or pointless one-liners, hoping that someone would join the post and make a comment. I normally ignore it but when it's bad like today, I get really annoyed
What do you do when you come across spammers like that?

i have noticed that too...i have also notice some where just copying some news item just to have a post.why dont they just copy the whole newspaper so they can more cent for every post.i just dont respond to those lazy people.dont they have brains to think of a good discussions...i myselt try to make a good discussion that is somewhat original and yet you see those ones just keeps on posting some nonsense crap.why cant mylot just delete those kinds of discussions and leave the good ones behind for easy browsing...

Maybe they should add in a 'hot flag' button beside the topics main so that we can call bull on one-liners before even opening the topic. Oh, should auto-hide that topic from the user too :E

Honnestly, I give them a negative rating! If they were actually asking a question or trying to debate the quote, I would respond, but really, just putting up a quote.. it's annoying!!!

Normally if I see one or two, I ignore it and hope that its just a newbie who dun understand the rules enough. But when they start flooding the screen, I start flooding their negative rating!

I noticed this too I've seen threads about nothing but 1 line of stupid crap and its so short you cant come up with a good response lol.Ive been posting a minimum of 2 lines everytime so that people can have a good response to my post ;).

It really irks me when that happens to me, especially in my own discussions. I sometimes report them, but since mylot doesn't delete them anymore I just let them be. But if they continuously do it, messing around with my posts then that's the time I give them a dose of their own medicine..
