Publishing blogger on a custom domain

Has anyone done this? Have it hosted on your own domain, I mean? You're supposed to be able to and I did it once a couple of years ago, but I can't get it to work now. I've looked all over the help sections and the google group for Blogger, but can't find any real help. I've filled out the page to publish via FTP and it just won't take. Any suggestions?

No help here, I've tried to do it on my own domain as well as building an online store but after hours and hours of work it still didn't work right so am just waiting until I can afford to pay someone to do it for me. I hope someone here has some helpful tips.

I hope they do, too. I don't want to have to pay someone else to do something that should be simple. If I find out anything, I'll post it.

I did it! :) My path was wrong. I dug around in my files online and found that blogger put them in a different directory ("/home/user..."). You have to be careful and point it to the exact root directory. Email me if you like and I'll try to explain it better.

What type of problems were you having Byfaithonly? HTML, scripts, etc?

I haven't used blogger before, but used WordPress way back when I gave blogging a try. There is a lot of support available at the wordpress site as well as many templates and add ons.

i don't understand you. do you wanna host your domain on free hosting? i don't like to use free products, i think the price of hostings are very cheap per year. most of hosts cost you about $60 every year and the disk space is large, you don;t need to be afraid the traffic/month . if you think $60 is expensive, you can use the host of 3ix.org , it only cost you $12 every year.
