Learning to Live

An eight month old baby is trying everything out for the first time. He's marveled at the sight of his hand rotating, he's just learning to bat things out of the way if he wants to see what's behind. Conversely he's upset at the most trivial things; he screams if he is bored and occasionally flips out if his mom leaves the room. There are lessons in here for each of us. We take things for granted all the time, and too often forget to stretch ourselves to try new things. When we are angered or upset, the cause is probably trivial if we were only mature enough to understand. How will you nurture your inner infant?
