Does your job go with your belief system? Against your belief system? Have parts that go with your beliefs and other parts that go against your beliefs? Did your job seem to be one way and then turn out to be another?
I've had many jobs and some went with my beliefs, against, parts of each and started out one way and then ended up another. Right now I love animals and educating people about some aspect of animals which are both part of my job. That fits into my belief system, too. Your turn. . ..

I've been working at a golf course/ice arena complex for about 6 1/2 years. It's fun and interesting. It fits well within my beliefs. I need an exciting, people orientated job. I need to be able to chat with people and enjoy anything they may choose to tell me. Am only part time with no benefits but that's not a concern.
I've had several jobs throughout the years but the most interesting was working for 3 psychologists. I was their receptionist therefore clients saw me as soon as they walked in the door. I loved it but the doctors about drove me nuts..lol It was against my beliefs to lie to someone issuing a subpoena and lie to callers when they needed to talk to one of the doctors. Example: saying the doctor was out of town when in fact he/she was in the office. I had to leave although the client interaction was different and very interesting.
Do you work for a vet or are you a teacher? I'm also an animal lover.

I work for Blue Buffalo Dog and Cat food at PetSmart. I'm a guest vendor. I educate about Blue Buff Dog and Cat Food.
I love animals, too.
I do have 2 teaching degrees.
I've had jobs that were against my beliefs before.Mostly places where people try to start something or lie.
Psychiatrists driving you crazy sounds about right. Take care and thank you for your response.

I work for Lush.
non animal tested, all vegetarian, 70% vegan (I am neither in diet, but in cosmetics I think it's important) lots of fair traded ingredients, a lot of things sourced directly from lots of lovely communities. minimum packaging, minimum waste, minimum synthetic ingredients.
lovely, fun, vibrant company

Not sure how the lush fits in, but the company in general seems to be very wonderful. Thank you for the response.

So you got into tax preparation. Not exactly a job where your spirit can soar! Cute boss, huh? Never had one of those. Take care and thanks for your response.

Well, my current job (which is in the food industry) really has nothing to do with my belief system at all. I do my best to not bring up "religion" and "politics" at work, but now and then someone will, and I can't seem to stop myself from saying something if I feel strongly about it. But so far it hasn't been a problem.

I thought I had put every option, but I guess I forgot one. I had a factory job that was neither pro or con my religion, so I see where you're coming from.
Glad that people are accepting of your strongly held beliefs. Take care and thanks for responding.
