OK I just found out a couple of days ago that my old classmate, who was a genius and the nicest guy ever, is a fugitive!!! I mean he murdered a 7 month old child and had run from the cops several times. The investigation is still going on to find evidence that he killed the little girl, but there was a wittness that saw him go into the house and not turn on any lights. He then called the cops because he thought that was a little suspicios. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! He's in jail right now, and I don't think he has a hope in the world. He was a good Christian guy that had everything in front of him. He could have been anything he wanted. He could have been president! I'm just so mad that he would do something like this. There's suspicion that he was doing drugs also, which is totally out of character for him. At least it used to be! It is amazing how if you get mixed up with the wrong people, they can turn you around to be someone you never thought you would turn out to be! Just had to let off some steam...tell me your thoughts on this...

the investigation is still going on so maybe it wasn't him. anyway if it was him then I guess he changed a lot, or maybe he is showing true colors you didn't get to see in school.

Just when you think you know a person... they do something like that. That's why people are to afraid to trust each other these days. I hope he doesn't get out of jail on "good behavior".

Yes I think that is why people are too afraid to trust someone too. I also hope he doesn't get out on good behavior because I think what he did is unforgivable and wrong in all meanings of the word.

I know it is a shock. I have had this experience a couple of times. I work in a maximum security prison and twice now people i have known on the outside have come to me in prison and made themselves known. The truth is it can happen to anyone of us blessed be

It would be quite a shock to see people you thought you knew in prison!

I agree with sunshinelady, you never really know a person I don't think. I worked at a hotel many years ago and we had a guy that stayed in our hotel on a long term basis for work. He usually took a cab everywhere. He was the nicest guy, he'd always bring the front desk girls a snack or a drink, hang out and talk and everyone thought he was our friend. One day, I was leaving work and he needed to go to the store so I offered him a ride. A couple of months later, he was on the run for murdering someone. I was floored. It's just really scary how you can think you know someone so well and it turns out they aren't who you thought they were after all.

Isn't that the truth. I haven't really stayed in touch with my old classmates, and I'm sorry I had to find out about this by the news. It is tragic how someone who has SO many advantages can get caught up with the wrong crowd and ruin his furure.

I actually feel sorry for him for having a tragic life. You mentioned he used to be a genius and the nicest guy. I wonder what had triggered him to live a different path. Maybe there were some things about him you did not know which had really been disturbing him from a long time. He may be genius and nice but what if he's unhappy and have deep seated anger that lies within him. This is such a sad story. a 7 month old child is very innocent and do not deserve such thing to be done to him.

Well I do know that he had a troubled home life. His father had left when his mother got pregnant, and she had to raise him and her adopted son alone. She wasn't a very nice person, so I know he would often times stay away from home and stay over at a friend's. He didn't talk much about what was bothering him, so this all I know. Thanx for the talk.

I believe the value of life is what you make it. If you try to lead a good life then good things will come to you, and viceversa.

I am 58 and over the years I have come to realize that you can never really truly know a person. On the outside they can appear one way and they are totally different from what you thought. When you say your old classmate how long ago was this. Things change and peoples life's change. Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. A lot of different circumstances can change a person. It might be hard to believe but there are a lot of people out in the world when a friend of theirs did something unthinkable they would say that they didn't think the person was capable of something like that. We just can't get into each others minds and truly know what is going on up there.

Thanx for your response...I graduated in 1999 so that would be almost 8 yrs ago when I last saw him. Accually about 6-7 yrs since I actually saw him. He used to come visit me every once in a while until his life started to become too busy.
