What would you be willing to do to help stop this from happening? What if you could do one simple thing in your spare minutes that would help? Would you do it? See my profile page for a link to my blog. Read about what others are doing to save lives and how you can help.

What I would do... 1) Stop polluting the air which cause drought over some countries and prevent them from growing food. 2) Stop breeding if you have no food. Why is it that it is the poorest people on the planet which have the most children to feed? God gave us a brain... and he expect us to use it. God has one message for humanity... "Choose again!"

That's the most obvious solution but it doesn't translate well to reality. Research shows that as wealth increases birth rates fall. The poor have so many children hoping that a few will survive to carry on the family line.

It does not translate into reality because people refuse to accept reality. In this day and age... one would think that there are more important things in life than worrying about children carrying the family name for eternity. Is that's why people have children? For their names to be pass on the family line? Sadly... yes... more often than not... And it is the other way around. Wealth increase when you have few children. In other words... they don't have less children because they are wealthy... they have less children in order to become wealthy. In the Western World... it is extremely expensive to bring up children. You can buy a house with the money needed to bring up one child. People start having children once they made their money. That is why today... many women have their first child at 35. That is not a good thing either... but that's another story.
