I was wondering how many hours of sleep you get (on an average)each night. It's said a person needs about 8 hours of sleep. Me, I sleep about 10 hours each night and sometimes it seems like thats not even enough. So how many hours do you sleep?

Well thanks to college I now sleep anywhere from 4-6 hours a night. But i will pull an all nighter once a week or so to do work or something. On the weekends though i will sleep about 10 hours, which lets me catch up on lost sleep.

Honestly if you sleep too much you'll feel tired anyway. I've always been good with 4 hours a nite

I used to need 10-12 hours a night, and still do when I get a good workout, or if I have been very busy. Once in a while, I pull an all-nighter, and then need more sleep that night. Most of the time I can get by on 6-8 hours of sleep, now that I am older.

If I'm lucky, I'll get between 4 and 5 hours of sleep a night. Some nights, I might only get 1 hour, if that, as I tend to suffer from insomnia. Half the time I don't actually have trouble falling asleep, but find myself waking after a couple of hours. Other times, I can't sleep, no matter how tired I am. I have found that if I exercise and do some meditation, that can refresh me almost as much as sleep, so that's what I end up doing most of the time.

I need averagely 6 hours of sleep each night. I will feel energetic the following morning if I have sufficient rest the night before. Besides I would like to have a forty minutes nap in the afternoon. Other than I could get rest I do enjoy it very much.

I would say on an average I get about 4-6 hours of sleep. There are days where I happen to sleep from going to bed at about 6-7 in the morning till about 6-7 at night. Yes, I know. It's horrible! I should really fix my sleep cycle but eh, until I get a new job there really isn't a point. :o

8 hours of sleep is necessary for children, 6 hours - for people who are over 21. But I think everyone must sleep how much they want :) I can sleep 4-5 hours only :)

with my course in college, it's already a blessing that i get 6 hours of good night sleep.. usually i only sleep for around 4-5 hours.. our schedules are very hectic and as much as possible we need to be awake almost for 24 hours.. with all the classes minor subjects, long hours of lecture in major, and plus the 8 hour duty shift in the hospital.. it's a gift if we're having a nice sounding sleep..

I sleep at least 5 hours every day. Cause I like to watch television when late of nights. After I have a job, when go home, I usually watch television with my family. The action films almost I'd like to watch. And Sports especially soccer. So I have my bed about 11 o'clock every night. And I wake up when dawn is coming about 4 o'clock. That's my habit .

So do I. I sleep as much as my daughter. According to the doctors, 8 hours are enough for an adult. Maybe we are still young, like a baby. (_) If I sleep less than 8 hours, I am easily to be irritated and not in good mood.

wow 10 hours and still not enough? On working days I try to get at least 6-7 hours of sleep. On weekends, I try to catch up with my sleep and rest, therefore I sleep more coz I'm able to wake up late. Cant wait for the weekend to come! ;)

It depends on how tired I am really. I do better the next day if I go to bed early and wake up at a decent time. I usually get about 6 hours of sleep on the weekdays and about 8-9 hours of sleep on the weekends. Like I said, I try to hit the sac reltively early. I think it was Ben Franklin that sais: "early to bed, early to rise makes a man well, healthy and wise"... or something like that.
