In a manner of words you really can't say that we are conquered. Anyway, English is called the international language, though there are a lot of chinese-speaking people than english ones. But english is one language that almost each country tries to understand and we are lucky in the Philippines that we are fluent in speaking the language. That's why our Asian neighbors go to our country and learn english. We are one of those asian countries that boast people proficient in the english. And besides, english is one medium of instruction at school.

Well with the way the world is going it might be a good idea to learn Chinese. It won't be long until they basically have the ability to own the world. They recently tried to buy Walmart. I mean if they own Walmart they nearly own the world right? They now have the dubious honor of out polluting the US and they are now using the most raw materials of any country in the world including oil and gas and coal. They build a new coal fired power plant every week but they do not put any of the air pollution controls on them that other countries do. They are not learning from our mistakes They are making money though. Hand over fist and they do not devalue their money like other countries do so they will out strip the world soon. Yup, unless they want the world to learn english we might think about learning chinese.
