Mardi Gras!

When I was younger, my brother and I used to drive up to New Orleans almost every year for Mardi Gras. It was so much fun! It was not as congested back then. That was in the early 70s. We had a blast. We would save up for months to blow it all in a couple of days. Wasn't it fun not to have a care. There was almost no crime just a few pick pockets, but you knew they were there so you took precautions. We had some cajun friends that we stayed with and we ate and ate until we thought we would pop, and there was still food on the table. We were always skinny kids and I think they were trying to fatten us up in just those few days. We tried too!lol I never did understand everything that they said, but when we all started playing music well,there was no laguage barrier there at all. I do not go anymore. I cannot travel like that anymore. I wish I could. Shalom~Adoniah
