Will you watch the superbowl just to see the commercials?

Good lord no crazynurse, I will be here probably sitting with you all and doing laundry :))) You can always catch the commercials on youtube after the Superbowl.

To me the game is the big draw. I like football. While I haven't been cheering on any NFL teams this year, I'll still watch it. The commercials are just a bit of extra zeal that comes along with the game. It's funny how everyone usually goes to the bathroom on commercials except for the Superbowl..haha!

mmmm nope! I am not that anxious over such things and can tolerate the suspense, heh. when we used to watch television I could always catch the commercials later on when the news talked about them.

No I Will watch the superbowl because my favorite team is in it. Off courst thats the new england patriots. If they werent playing thats pretty much the only reason why I watch the superbowl is because of the comercials. The only time I actually look forward to the comercials. I think it should be done for the mlb playoffs also or the nba what ever is the bigger sport.

Guess if you have nothing better to do with your time on that day but watch the SUperbowl anyway, might as well watch the commercials too. Big question is....if you need to use the bathroom...do you go while the game is playing or on a commercial?

I don't watch it period. I always watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. The players are much cuter and far less snobbish and stuck up. Plus they don't paid more than I'll make in 3 lifetimes to play in one effin game. Give me puppies and kittens over humans anyday!

I'm not sure where he does this online, but my husband always watches the superbowl commercials online. He hates tv and isn't interested in football, but he likes to see what the superbowl commercials are. And, to answer your question, no, I would not watch the superbowl to see the commercials. If I was really interested in it, which I'm not, I would tape it and fast forward through the game to watch only the commercials after it's over.

NO!!!!! But this year I will watch part of the game just to see if the Patriots can get beat!!!! I have never been a fan of watching anything to see a commercial!!!! Go Giants...beat those Patriots!!!

I usually don't watch the whole game. I do something else and my husband lets me know when the commercials are on so I can watch them. Then I watch the end of the game with him. I don't really care about the outcome, but he does so I try to get interested.

As someone from outside the US, this sounds incredibly odd. Is there some kind of tradition surounding superbowl commercials?
