Too much sleep!

I had my granddaughter overnight on friday and when she left yesterday I was beat. I took a nap and that didn't help. Well last night I slept 11 hours! I woke up with a headache though and haven't been able to shake it! My daughter in law came to get her yesterday and she had slept in as I had the little one and she said she felt like she had no ambition. Do you think you can sleep too much?

I think that sleep too much is unhealthy and unsettle.. usually your all day work become useless then.. In my opinion you must get up when you first time open your eyes :)

I think it is not good for healthy life. scientifically we should have an average amount of sleep. The average amount of sleep is about 7.50 hours in a day. some people sleep less and some more. But very less and too much is not good for health. sleeping habit suffers the metabolism system which is not considered good.Asleep is very necessary but it should not exceed the limit.

I do think a person can get too much sleep. Eight hours is about the normal but I don't sleep that long. It's been probably 35 years since I slept for many hours in one night. I get headaches also if I sleep too long. A good night for me is about 5 hours. I can run on 4 hours for maybe one night and that's it. This age thingy makes me sleep less.

11 hours! wow. that's really too much. i can't sleep that long. i would get a headache too if i sleep that long. i would feel tired and lazy all day as if i have a hangover. i only need 7-8 hours of sleep and sometimes, 6 hours is okay to get me going for a day. more than that is bad. ^__^;;

Oh yes, I know that I can sleep too much. If I wanted to I could sleep as late in the mornings as I wanted to since my husband don't eat breakfast at home and he fixes his own lunch to take with him but I do get up at least 30 minutes before he does. I am up before 6:30 every morning and it is hard for me to try to sleep until 7 on weekends. I do not use an alarm clock either, just my own body alarm clock. If I sleep too late I feel like crud all day or at least most of the day.

It's almost three and I am just getting over my headache! But I did get a few things done...funny how when you need it and you get too much you feel worse!

Yes. Oversleeping will make you feel worse than you did before you went to sleep. I suffer from annoying headaches too when I have slept too much. If I sleep more than 2 hours over my normal time of sleeping I am sure to have a crummy day.

Isn't that strange? Our bodies need it but then we feel like crap when we get it! LOL
