Should a child witness childbirth?

Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call. The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-yr old girl, to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby.
Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked.
heidi pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry.
the paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed 3-yr old what she thought about what she had just witnessed.
Kathleen quickly responded, "He shouldn't have crawled in there in the firt place...smack him again!"If you don't laugh at this one, there's no hope for you.

oh hahahaha is that a real story, if it is what a little trooper Kathleen is, I am not sure i would have handled that when I was a kid, I was so weak when it came to medical stuff, what am I talking about, still am...ahahaha if that is a real story then I think Kathleen is an amazing little girl.

The funniest part is -- is it a joke? Out of the mouths of babes, it has a little ring of something that could've happened and I'm LOL as I say it.

I think it was a difficult night with there being no lighting due to a power cut. It was lucky that one paramedic turned up to deliver the woman's baby. It was fortunate that the little three year old girl Kathleen was able to shine a torch on her mummy. I don't think it is a good idea for most young children to see their mum in child birth for it might upset them to see her scream and be in lots of pain. It is so funny that the little girl thought he crawled in there. Young children's comments can be so sweet and quite amusing. So that is why the man smacked baby Connor she thought. Ha, ha.
