Minus Zero "People today are looking for God. During a recent question-and-answer session, a student asked me why we can't find God. I told him he can't find God the way a thief can't find a policeman. He's not's looking for Him. "I then suggested that every morning the students write the word Good on a blackboard and then go out and do something for someone, expecting and getting nothing in return. Nothing is zero, so when you get home, scratch a zero out of your word and you will find God." —Red Skelton, comedian taken from Laws of Love by Margaret Pounders The comedian turned philosopher understood that when we take the focus off of our own pains and limitations and seeming absences and focus instead on doing something good for someone else, the world becomes a better place to be. By acting on that inherent goodness within, June, we bring our thoughts, our feelings and our world back into balance by returning to our own personal zero point, that place in the center of our being where Good minus one "o" resides. May you always find Good in the goodness you do. What do you think? Do people do goodness just for the sake of doing the good act? Or do they do goodness out of wanting to get something out of it for themselves?

I have not lost faith in the human race! There are many individuals out there who do good without thought or reciprocating expectations!

I agree with you. They do good out of the goodness of their heart. People to often think what are they after when someone does something good just for the sake of doing good.

I get these little thoughts that are sent into my email and I think that they are pretty good. This is one of them. They make a person thing and ponder. Or at least they do me.
