sister in bad relationship

ok so my little sister is in a bad relationship. he is so mean to her. he calls her fat and doesnt let her go out with her friends or anything. I dont know what to do anymore. I tried telling her that she is better then that but she just wont listen. has anyone experienced a problem like this? with you or someone you care about? please fill me in on how you helped the situation. thanks
