accoring to the baltimore orioles they are in the works of finalizing a trade with the seattle mariners for center fielder adam jones for baltimore orioles pitcher erik bedard. not sure how many other players were going to be headed to balitmore but i can assure you its not a straight up trade between the two players. i have a link if you would like me to send it to you but im not sure if that is against mylot policy.

Adam Jones... who the heck is Adam Jones... PLEASE tell me there is more to this trade than a straight up Bedard/Jones trade. The O's throwing away perfectly good talent... again.

yes the orioles were planning on executing a trade of erik bedard for centerfielder adam jones (as the center piece of the deal) the other players supposedly involved are pitcher George Sherrill, Chris Tillman, Tony Butler, Kam Mickolio. Jones, Sherrill, and Mickolio are said to be Major League ready players . i dont really like the fact we're getting back mostly pitchers but i do like jones, and sherrill, and tillman is supposed to be a stud. i dont like the fact that we're trading based on how good these guys are supposed to be but who knows maybe things are starting to get better. i hope we resign bedard but i dont think we can offer him what he wants.

The Orioles needs to have a #1 man in the rotation and that they will not have if they trade him away.

you're absolutely right and i love having bedard as our ace. we could build around him and markakis, but ive recently heard that the trade for bedard to seattle is pending physicals and they dotn want to announce anything because obviously everything got blown all out of whack earlier this week. the pending trade is a 6 for 2 trade. obviously for bedard but who else. my guess might be brian roberts, and hopefully we dont get tillman, and get two other guys who are better for roberts. someone who is major league ready and can play the infield if roberts is involved here.
