Lazy Buster - Prior to cleaning the house

Well being Sunday and my wifes day off seems Buster felt it was a good day to be lazy and just lie around all day. This photo was taken before the wife & I started the chore of hopuse cleaning. He sure got up & ran to his kennel really fast once the vac was turned on. He does not like that thing at all. When he first was here he would bark a little bit at it then run and hide. Now he just goes to his kennel. Maybe he does this to get out of the way now. As soon as it's off he will come back to see if we are done. Is your pet afraid of the vac or not? Do your pets get in the way as you try to clean at all? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I used to have a vacuum. I used to try & get The Doctor to move by vacuuming him. If he didn't want to move, he would be vacuumed. He was some cat!

Carpets, we don't need no sticking carpets! Or, as I tell the carpet cleaners when they used to call (and I can tell who they are by who they ask for on the phone.) "I'm allergic to cats, it was the carpet or the cats... guess which went?"

My cat Tia tries to fight the vacuum and we get the full works, hissing, arching back you name it! We try and let her outside before it gets started - saves a lot of aggravation! xxx

All the cats I have ever had never really did the hissing arching etc for any reason. Guess I just had mellow cats or strange ones. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

LOL Well Tia is normally mellow but she really hates that vacuum! I used to have a cat when y eldest was a baby that rode everywhere underneath his pram and slept under his cot or cradle when he was in there, that cat was like a guard dog if anyone he didn't know went near my son he would arch his back, hiss, spit the works - it was amazing to see and I am assured quite frightening to experience! xxx

Hahahaha, my whoppie does, too afraid and angry of the vac, and just to avoid it, she will hide and packed her self under my bed or under the chair. She's been lazy today and even snub her lunch my mother keeps on calling her to eat she don't want o go out under the bed, my mother tried to carry her and feed her, my mom used to spoiled her.

Cute story. I had a cat that would hide for hours from the time we would start cleaning the house. Had to hunt for her at the end of the day she was so sacred of the noise etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My Petie will bark and play with the vacuum while it is running. I pretent like I am going to run over his feet. He charges the vacuum, he has not bitten it yet thank goodness. Petie is so small he could not hurt the vacuum but he tries. He is 6 pounds and the cats are 12 pounds and 17 pounds and he bosses them around also. Bossy little puppy.

I don't have carpet on any of my floors, so no need for a vacuum cleaner. Though all three of my pets like to help me when it comes to changing the sheets on the bed. They like to lay right in the center of it! LOL

Our cat Bandit takes off when he hears the vacuum cleaner, but when you are sweeping the floor he requests that you sweep him too. He likes to fight with and grab the broom too.

Cute. Cats seem to like the feel of the brooms as I had one that would rub herself against the broom even as it sat in the corner. HAHA!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Buster has it good! I think most animals are afraid of the vacuum cleaner and will go hide. Mine do it as well and try to get as far away from the "monster" as possible. Glad you got the cleaning all done.

Yes, most pets I have had are afraid of the vacuum cleaner. And, yes, all our pets have lazy days. We have had some beautiful sunny weather lately, & the cats lie out the front & the dogs out the back. Yesterday was a bit different for Max our dalmation. Dave was putting shadecloth on the pergola. Max played with his lemons in & around the shadecloth. He thought if he could see the lemon one side of the shadecloth, then he should be able to get to it "through" the shadecloth. One of our cats decides that when I am putting clean sheets on a bed, that I am wanting her to play with the sheet.

Sad to say Grandpa Bob that we never had any pet at home. But as i know, dogs have very sensitive hearing and having those noisy vac would certainly make any dog uncomfortable. Good though that buster learned to deal with it in his own way. Dogs are really intelligent.

Dom and Lil' Bear go flying at the speed of light whenever I even roll the vacuum out to the living room. Once I turn it on, they 'disappear' into the woodwork till I'm done vacuuming then will reappear when I turn it off. Tigger and Simba, however, love to play 'catch the snake' and will purse the vacuum cord like mad. lol

i guess i would also run into a kennel to hide if i could. i hate noisy cleaners. they make it impossible to even watch TV! i don't have a pet so i can't comment in that vein, but i'm sure glad when the vacumn cleaner stops.

Buster is used to it now as well. But he seems to not want to be in the way. Maybe it's because I chase him with it as I clean? Hahaha!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
