Have you ever accidentally slipped "lol" while talking to someone in person? My friend did this the other day, and got embarrassed it was really funny. xD

I never have slipped "lol"...but at the rate that I use it here, I think that I will one of these days. Infact, I've been thinking about it slipping that I'm very careful when I talk now.

You see, I HATE internet abbreviations like lol and rofl and lmao and stfu and wtf andomg! etc etc etc... so I don't use them online which means I never use them in real life! I would have been embarrassed too!

While I may use the terms on the net, I don't use them when speaking. I knew someone who did that shortly after she got e-mail and stuff, it was before I got a computer and she used to talk and say,(this was like 10 years ago) "well it was like I was LOL" HOnnestly it sounded totally retarted. But to each their own I guess. I think it was the newness of it really.

I sometimes slipped the word "lol" when communicating with other people, and even to my family. In our country the word "lol" somewhat sounds with "Ulol" fool and when added with "ka" it will mean "you are a fool". So saying that words looks like saying them you are a fool, which is not good to hear, and I feel ashame of it. Even on sending message through cellphone, typing lol when the conversation is humorous, and sometimes they would ask me "what happened t your words?" But good they did always let me explain about it.
