When you go to the department store or to the supermarket, do you find yourself shopping for something else instead of what you were intending to buy?If so, what happened? What product or item were you supposed to buy? And what became of your plan after? My mom and I usually yet accidentally do this all the time. It's not a practice or anything but I think we're getting overboard. Haha, it really gives me laugh when she's about to buy just my grandmother's medicine from a pharmacy-slash-convenient-store and we ended up with a basket full of chocolates!

sometimes it happens but most times it does not because i am a pretty disciplined shopper and i try to get out of the supermarket as soon as possible. usully there are large crowds and i don't like large crowds. so it's get what we need and we are out of here. pronto. of course sometimes we get way laid by snacks, but i'm more likely to be distracted in a shopping centre than elsewhere.

Wow, same thing here. I get headaches when I go among the large crowds. I think it is best if there are efficient flows of customers in a supermarket. Nowadays, having a grocery list is not quite common because some things are mostly remembered when you're already there in the grocery.

I tend to find my self getting distracted along the way to the item I came in for, mostly at the market and clothing stores. I go in for one thing and see so many other things I want.

Totally right! Well if you really see a lot of things you like at the same time, your brain confuses you which sends signals thru nerve cells and alerts you that a sale is being held in the store! Hahaha.

That happens to me from time to time, although I am working on lessening that. My wife and I will go places with certain purchases in mind, but we'll end up with so much extra. Even though we make lists and try to stay specifically to the things we need, we can go somewhere and see something that we would need or maybe just want and completely get sidetracked. It might go from little things like candies or snacks to bigger things that we didn't even think about. We're getting better though, we definitely don't do it as often. Hopefully we can get even better and eliminate it completely.

Yes, such a habit will increase our expenses. Therefore, lessening our savings. I'll try my best to prevent myself from impulsive shopping, but that would be quite hard.
After all, shopping should be a therapy right? But how about if the therapy causes you headache regarding spent amounts? Lol!

I used to do that all the time. But I am much better about it now. Of course, my budget is also tighter than it used to be. But I think chocolates are allowed to be purchased no matter what you went into the store to buy. They're exempt because we always need it, it's a type of medicine as far as I am concerned. ;)

Hahaha! Your answer made me smile! I love how you said that chocolates are exemptions from the rule. And yeah, it's a type of medicine as far as a chocoholic is concerned! Lol, nice answer by the way.
Are you a chocoholic? Or just fascinated by sweets?
Well, I do not confine myself in being a chocoholic but I just love being called by the name. Weird huh.
