We really need a vacation...It is too cold to go camping now though and I don't think I could make it with the kids on a 15 hour car ride to a warmer climate. I miss the campfire & sleeping in the tent and the bugs and the bug spray and building sand castles (we usually camp near a beach either on lake erie or in new jersey/delaware)...I want to grill hamburgers and hot dogs... A few more months I suppose I can wait. Anybody else want to go camping?

I and my wife too! We already are studing for next summer, we're going to Corsica, but we think the travel in car and boat with our daughter! However the camping holiday always is the best!

I can't wait to go, I wish it would hurry and warm up! We had hoped to drive down to the Gulf Coast on a camping trip this weekend (for my birthday) but we couldn't get away from work. We still have snow on the ground here (and more in the forecast) so as much as we want to go, I think we're stuck for at least a few weeks yet.

i am so glad you bounced this article back up...i want to go now more so now than ever - all the stores have their tent displays up! we are lucky to not have snow, but we're due for the inevitable 2 weeks of nonstop rain soon...i can make it though I think! I hope! Maybe we will have to camp in the basement, lol.

OH YES I want to go camping in the worse way, however that will not happen anytime soon. It's like 40 below zero and we had a storm all night. The school buses are not running and I am snowed in totally. So do I want to go camping? That's like asking if the Pope is a catholic. hehehe. I am so ready for summer, and winter is no where near over out here!!! Guess I'll just appreciate it all the more when I can go.Take Care

wow, i could not handle a winter like that! I complain when it just snows a little and it gets colder than 20 degrees...oh well, you are right, makes the summer seem even better!

I'm getting quite the cabin fever myself. It's not exactly camping that I am looking for, but if it warm enough I would take that over this harsh winter that I am so tired of. Come on Spring!

Yes, but my husband is not the camping type and there is no way I'd go without him. Too bad. No hot dogs for me, though, I would want to catch and grill a fish. Would somebody else please gut it for me though?

when my husband goes fishing he always throws them back in...he doesn't like killing them himself!!! Maybe you could convince him to stay in a cabin? That is close to camping, but easier for the non camping type.

It has been forever since I have been camping. I don't even have the equipment to do it anymore. When we were kids we use to go to a state park by the beach. Wow the memories that brings back. I have a toddler and am pregnant right now so it doesn't sound real enjoyable. Living in sunny florida though it is rarely too cold to go camping. There are lots of great state parks down here wtih springs and such to camp at also. I really need to take a weekend with the hubby and just go. I love camping and grilling out and just being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life sometimes. Right now I work a job with crazy hours so its hard to do anything but maybe soon.

I was pregnant all last summer...we didn't go camping at all because I didn't think I would be too happy sleeping on the ground & having to hike everytime I had to pee (which is about every 20 minutes when you're pregnant!) I can't wait to go this summer...I've been camping since I was 5 months old...the first summer ever I missed!
