When You Know that You Have to Go Out Later the Day..

I'm a mix of both. I get up early on the set date but, don't do preparations until the last hour or so.. I don't know. I use to set three hours before the time but, I don't know why I lost that habit of mine :P

Hello wondericequeen, It depends on the situation. Most of the time, I will get ready a few hours before going out. Sometimes, it really takes me a few hours *laughs* But if I just need to go out for something not so important matter, I just wear whatever I feel comfortable to wear and rush out!

I wait until I have to get ready. I like being lazy and being able to lounge around for as long as I possibly can before having to get dressed and ready. I hate being in restrictive, uncomfortable clothing for far too long, so I avoid it while I can.

I will first of all get the materials ready. then eat, have a bath and dress. I rarely wear lipstick or mascara and my hair is always tied up neat. Face Moisturizer, eye shadow, thin layer of powder and lip balm is all I need. I put more importance on being calm and prepared rather than too much make up wasting my time. I don't like eating on my way to presentation because then I have to brush my teeth and use moisturizer again.

I often wait for the last minute, and i know its a big mistake...i just can't help it. Only if it's something really important like a job interview i take more time but in general I'm terrible with these things.

I am the latter..I wait for the last hour and then cramm my self up..:) I am not so very good in time..thus I have a problem in being so punctual..but I'm trying. Go get your self raedy now my dear...

it depends on the circumstances. if i am in a hurry to go somewhere, and excited or someone would be waiting, i would prepare at least an hour before, prepare the things i would bring if i would be bringing any, and get myself ready. and just like you, do something while waiting for my departure. but if i am not in a hurry, then i would take my time and i would prepare only at least 15minutes before the time. ^__^

I tend to get everything done and ready EXCEPT for changing my clothes into the nicer outfit - that way I will not spoil them accidently by brushing up against something or whatever.

I don't get ready but I get ready to get ready If it's something I have to get 'dressed up' for, jacket and tie and stuff ... I get the stuff ready and take a shower early (course part of the shower is to deal with who else is in there or if there is hot water) But then just pretty much relax until I HAVE to get ready. The others here like to be ready more then an hour ahead of time and even be the first ones there. I personally have no problem with being there closer to the scheduled time. And yeah I tend to spend time on the computer until I am all but pulled away.

I lay everything ought either the night before or early in the day, and do my hair and nails and everything, but then I stay in my "house" clothes until 10 or 15 minutes before it is time to go out. If we had to go somewhere fancy, though, I'd have to go shopping a few days ahead, as we just wanted to wear shorts and t-shirts for a few years after retiring.

It depends. If I'm just going to go shopping, then money and a list are all I need. If I'm going to work, I have to have clean clothes, the website and how to transition from one dog or cat food to another all printed out, and I have to mentally get all psyched for it. If I'm going for a walk in the wintertime, need to take time to get ready, in the summer-just grab a plastic bag (for bottles people throw everywhere so I can get the empties returned and collect 5 cents on each one) and go.

I just depends - sometimes I have to be ready to go out for meetings, presentatios and networking events and will be gone all day. Other times it's drop off the kids and only one meeting. The more I have to plan for, the longer it takes me to get ready. Of course, sometimes I plan a certain amount of time and then I find my self stuck on the computer. When that happens I'm usually getting ready at the last minute.

I usually plan to spend a couple of hours getting ready, but nearly always leave it until the last minute, when I rush about and get stressed trying to sort my hair out!!
