Ok im want to go to school and get a phd as an herblist. I want to know how many people would actually use me if I were one and they knew about it. I would know nutriention, and what you need for everyhting thats wrong with you. In herbal medicine you can actuall cut down how many medicines you need if you have multiple problems wrong with your health, or if you take one medicine that makes you have something else wrong with you so you got to take another type of medicine. well in herbal medicine you dont have this. I would also learn how to grow, cultivate and make herbs into the right form. If you could would you use someone like that for all your medicine needs?

Not for all of my medical needs. I believe natural remedies can be part of an overall healthy approach to wellness, but there are times when modern medicines are more appropriate.

My dad believes in natural herb, and I grew up drinking herbal tea. My dad use a lot of natural remedies. We never use over the counter medicine. I must say I stray from natural products and brought into the hype and now I am back and experimenting with natural products. I think there is definately a market for natural medicine so I would say go for it.

I definitely think that homeopathic medicine has a place. The earth provides plenty of medicine for our needs, we just don't know how to harness it anymore. I have a great book called The Nature Doctor by Alfred Vogel, who was a leading practicer of "complementary" medicine. It is an absolute treasure trove of information, herbs and plants for this and that ailment, and home remedies which actually do work. I'm not sure that I would use herbal medicine for all of my needs, but I certainly have a fair share of natural remedies in my cupboards. I say that if this is something which you want to do, then go for it! :)
