Pat Dykstra of Fox Lake, Wisconsin was given a ticket for OWI because she called 911 on herself. Pat was driving home from the bar when she called 911 to tell them she might just be too drunk to drive. Here's a little bit of the call:
Pat: I just want to know if somebody can follow me home because somebody seems to think I can't drive home straight.
911: OK, why is that?
Pat: He seems to think I am too intoxicated to drive.
911: OK, and so you called 9-1-1 or he called 9-1-1?
Pat: Well, he wanted me to call 9-1-1 'cause he thinks I'm too drunk to drive.
Pat's intoxicated boyfriend was sitting in the passenger seat beside her. She told the 911 operator she was driving because her boyfriend was too drunk. She then told them what kind of car she had and gave them her home address. In addition to her concerns about driving under the influence of alcohol, she was also worried about talking on the phone while driving:
Pat: I don't like being on the phone while I'm driving.
911: OK. Well I can certainly get you go, Pat. I don't want to cause you…
Pat: I would appreciate that 'cause I don't like driving on the phone.
When she got home, police arrived and gave her a breathalyzer test. She blew a .14 and was given a drunk driving ticket. Pat thinks it is unfair because she was already home when police arrived.
Pat said "I was home already in my pajamas going to bed."

I don't believe this. The woman tried to be helpful and make sure she wouldn't hurt anyone, but they punished her instead.
