Just wondering, does your country's department store or malls charge parking fee? here in our country (Phils)they do. I just can't understand why they should charge us , we go there to spend or buy something from them they even charge us.In fact there's some gov't official who wants to abolished this rule but they can't push through.

In what mall/s did you encounter this... i frequently go to SM malls and Robinson's but we never encountered any parking fee... i don't think it is right to charge because... those who park are actually doing the mall a favor by going there... even if they will not buy anything which is rare... the mare presence of the individuls help the malls create an image that theirs is a place where everybody is welcome...

The fix rate of P25.00 in SM mall, isn't it a parking fee? if not what do you call that?

Yeah right! all sm malls charge parking fee to their customer... I remember asking that same question to my mom before... Well yeah they do assign security there but isn't it their responsibility in return for patronizing their products and services? It is their duty to protect the cars of their customers, they are earning from us... I suggest that parking fees should be collected only if the customers don't show any proof of purchase or receipt from any stablishment inside the mall...

Yup, your right! Malls here in the Philippines always collect parking fees. Some malls let us pay a fixed rate of P25.00 but other malls like Trinoma and Robinsons asks for P30.00! And at the Mall of Asia they ask for P40.00!!! I think they should have a policy like presenting a receipt of P100.00 then your parking fee is free, but if you can't present a receipt then you should pay.
