President Bush is in his last year as the president of the US. With fear of impending recession, he delivered his last State of the Union address on January 28, 2008. As expected, the democrats have denounce the address and there are mixed feelings whether Bush is truly committed to the cause of America.
To be fair to Bush, the economy stimulant package that the House of Representative has passed is a plus. However, I think it comes - or should I say it is coming - a bit too late. The economy is in bad shape, undoing the brilliant economic record of the Clinton administration. The ripples caused by the challenges the US economy is facing is felt all over the world. How many financial institutions in Europe have reported alarming losses due to the free fall of the dollar, and we are still counting? How bad will the dollar be devalued before finding a lasting solution? This should concern many Americans.
Is the State of the Union Address as important as it used to be or is just "one of those addresses"? What is your opinion on the address President Bush gave if you bothered to listen to him or read the address?

i dont think the union address is nearly as important as it once was. it's gotten to be more of a pep rally for the sitting president, he doesn't actually say anything of importance, just more of his same rhetoric and propaganda.. i dont think that bush has done a good job in office as of late, but i also am in a position of employement that has not yet reached a down turn. i'm one of the lucky ones. we are actually looking to buy a house in socal in the next 6 months and are both working at least 40 hours a week. i gotta go knock on some wood know...

It was described afterwards as an unfinished symphony and the un-greatest hits - or was it the greatest un-hits...lol. He really thinks we're all stupid but I guess he's right in a way; we put him in office twice after all! Actually, I can plead innocent here since I didn't vote for him either time.
