Well, I am on here for a few minutes while my husband sleeps in this morning. We said good bye to the puppy this weekend. I just couldn't deal with it. He is the cutest most darling thing I have ever seen, but too much maintenance for me to do alone. I told my husband that when he brought the puppy home and he didn't listen. He finally listened when he took the puppy out Sunday morning and tracked poop in on his shoe. I ended up having to mop the floors and he finally saw what I meant. So, he found little guy a new home with three kids and I am sure he will find much love there. Not to mention my husband bought himself a 2004 Toyota Tundra King Cab this weekend on top of that. He has lost his mind people! Anyhow, let me get off of this thing!

awww.. that's just so sad. poor doggie. after he experienced some good, tender, loving care, he had to move to another family and be in the period of adjustment again! but i do understand that when you have a pet, you have to expect for extra work and responsibilities and some little annoyances/disturbances. so i understand why you had to give the dog to another family. ^__^

its awful to give a pet away after it has already fitted in the family but its just practical if no one will be able to take care of it. ^__^ you're not a monster. you're just practical. at least you gave the doggie to a family with children who will surely love him. ^__^

Thanks for understanding! I felt like a monster after giving the little guy away. I know he is happier though. I am just not equipped to handle the responsibility right now. With us moving at the end of the year and all of the crazy things that is going on it's not the time to have a puppy.

LOL! sounds like you've had an interesting time while he's been home. Sorry you had to get rid of the puppy, but i know it's best for you. It's hard to do it all by yourself. As far as the truck, my husband did the same thing while he was home on leave. bought him a 97' Tahoe. so, of course i have to keep up maintence on two vehicles now until he comes home. LOL! take care girl, and enjoy the time you have left with him. hollar at me later. bye

Oh tell me about it! I couldn't believe that he did that! Thankfully I am going to be able to pay my car off this month with my tax returns, so we won't be so strapped financially! Sometimes these men can drive you nuts, but how can you turn them down when they are sacrificing so much!!!! I will definitely get a hold of you when he leaves. he is getting on the plane tomorrow. I hate that. I am going to miss him so much! Talk to you later girl!

I had a little puppy (cute pomeranian)! I loved him so much.. Everytime i got back from schools, i would call him "Kevvv..." and then he would come to me as fast as possible. Then, one day.. i got back from school and did the same thing, but he never came to me. When i asked my mom, where the puppy was, her eyes were watery. Then, i just knew that my mom gave the puppy away while i was at school! = she said it was becoz our house was not suitable for breeding dogs GOSH!!! I CRIEDDDD for weeks.. Everytime i sat alone in my room, i would cry coz i remembered how he used to sit with me watching TV. Everytime i ate, i would cry coz i remembered how he always disturbed me and waited for me to give him some food. Everytime i ate out, i would cry becoz i used to take home some food for him. Ah, i miss him now.. I dont even know where he is now.. *Sobss..*

Oh I am so sorry! I know that dog meant a lot to you! Like your best friend! I know how sad that can be. My dog passed away last year and when he was gone I cried and cried. He was so special to me. I don't think your mom was right about getting rid of the dog while you were away and you not knowing where it went. I am sure she did what she thought was best, but us moms sometimes don't make the best decisions. At least she could have talked to you about it and so on. I talked to my daughter about what we needed to do and she was fine after that because at least she could say good bye.

I am glad you were able to find a home for the darling creature so quickly - puppies really are a lot of work and dedication... sounds like he is in spending mode being home again.

Yeah he sure is! I am glad we found a home very quickly too. I tried telling him that I didn't have the time to really worry about puppy care and training and being here with just my daughter as well. She is in school all day, I am off and about most of the day and was considering going back to work part time. I am just glad everything worked out for everyone!

any pet is a big job to handle by your self especially a dog. it is too bad that you couldn't keep it but like you say its probably better of where its at with a family with kids

Yes I think your right! I know that puppy is getting so much love right now. I have so much to do and not having an extra hand in helping doesn't get things done. Raising and potty training a puppy is a full time job in itself!

Aww I'm really sorry to hear that I really do wish that things would have worked out with your puppy so that you could have kept it...I bet your husband wasn't too happy when he stepped in dog poop and tracked it back in the house...but it is really nice to hear that you two took the time to find the dog a really nice home with loving kids...most people would have just sat it out somewhere or either sent it to an animal shelter where it would have been put down if no one chose to adopt it...its nice to see that there are still good people left int he world

I couldn't bear to take him to the shelter. I am sure he would have been adopted immediately because he was so cute, but I didn't want to take that chance. My husband didn't even realize he had stepped in dog poop. He just walked in the house and was tracking it everywhere. I kept telling him I smell poop and he said I was crazy. Oh, yeah....I am crazy....lol.
